Substitutes for the Classic Style that are a Little Easier on the Wallet

In the last blog post, I shared a few Amazon home decor items comparable to Pottery Barn products. Since I'm making comparisons, I decided I can't leave my favorite store, Target, out of the mix. I spent some time digging and found a few great items at Target.com that also reflect Pottery Barn's classic style. Let's explore these substitutes (or dupes as they're called these days) and see how closely they compare. While the dupes may not be exact matches, they are similar in style and have a much lower price point. These Target home decor items could easily take the place of their Pottery Barn counterparts.
Pottery Barn Dupes
Accent Chair & Ottoman
L: Pottery Barn - The Remmy Swivel Chair in oatmeal is priced at $1,199 and has overall dimensions of 38.5"w x 32.5" x 32.5"h.
R: Target - The Boucle Upholstered Swivel Arm Chair in cream by Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia is priced at $379.99. The dimensions are listed at 33"w x 35.5"d x 34.5"h. Although it's a little taller and narrower than the Pottery Barn chair, it does achieve a comparable look overall.
Price Difference: $819.01
L: Pottery Barn - The Lorraine Tufted Storage Cube in the navy textured weave fabric. The dimensions are 18" square by 19"h and it's priced at $499.
R: Target - The textured navy Square Tufted Storage Ottoman by HomePop. This one is a little smaller with dimensions of 17.5"w x 17.5"d x 17.5"h and priced at $71.99. I'm actually considering this to use with the accent chair currently in our primary bedroom.
Price Difference: $427.01
Wall Art, Gallery Frames, and Wreaths
L: Pottery Barn - The Saturday Fields Framed Canvas with ridged gold frame is priced at $349 and measures 24" x 19".
R: Target - The 24" x 18" Landscape Study Framed Wall Canvas with Antique Gold frame by Threshold™ designed with Studio McGee is priced at $40. Although the subjects of the two prints differ, with both being landscapes, having similar hues, and having gold frames, the lower-priced Target print becomes a replacement option.
Price Difference: $309
L: Pottery Barn - 15" x 12" Oranges & Bowl Still Life Framed Canvas with gold gilt frame, priced at $249.
R: Target - 18" x 14" Citrus Harvest Framed Wall Canvas with antique gold frame by Threshold™ designed with Studio McGee, priced at $34. These two prints have some differences in size and background colors, but I felt their subject and style were similar enough to be considered a dupe.

L: Pottery Barn - The 11" x 13" Metal Gallery Frame matted for a 5 x 7 photo, priced at $199.
R: Target - The 11" x 14" Thin Gallery Frame matted for a 5 x 7 photo, priced at $16.
Price Difference: $183
L: Pottery Barn - The 20" Dried Fields of Gold Wreath, priced at $89.
R: Target - The 21" Preserved Grass & Lino Wreath by Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia, priced at $49.99. From the photos, it appears that the Target wreath is a little more yellow in appearance, but I would still consider this a dupe.
Price Difference: $39.01
L: Pottery Barn - The 20” Fresh Wooly Bush and Eucalyptus Wreath, priced at $99.
R: Target - The 24" Faux Mixed Eucalyptus Wreath by Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia, priced at $34.99. Even though this wreath is a little larger, add a few inexpensive wooly stems, and it would be even more comparable to the PB wreath.

L: Pottery Barn - The ivory Colossal Ribbed Handknit Throw Blanket, priced at $179.
R: Target - The Oversized Solid Bed Throw by Casaluna™ in natural, priced at $79.00

L: Pottery Barn - The round Artisan Handcrafted Terracotta Vase is 10" tall and priced at $79.
R: Target - The Large Ceramic Rustic Artisan Vase is 10" tall and priced at $30.

L: Pottery Barn - The Hand Carved Organic Wood Grain Bowl is 21" in diameter and priced at $199.
R: Target - The Round Decorative Paulownia Wood Bowl by Storied Home is 19" in diameter and priced at $48.99.

L: Pottery Barn - The Everywhere Velvet Pillow Cover is 20" square and priced at $49.50. It would require a pillow insert and the 20" x 20" Down Alternative Square Pillow Insert is $19.50, making the total price $69 per pillow.
R: Target - The Washed Cotton Velvet Throw Pillow by Threshold™ has a removable cover, is 18" square, and is priced at $20.00.

L: Pottery Barn - The Handcrafted Weathered Vase is priced at $149 and has dimensions of 12.25"w x 14"h.
R: Target - The Single Handle Ceramic Vase by Threshold™ designed with Studio McGee is a bit smaller with dimensions of 11"w x 10.5"h and is priced at $40.

L: Pottery Barn - The Pick-Stitch Handcrafted Cotton Linen Quilt in the color flax. The king quilt is $279 and king shams are sold individually for $69 each. The total price for the 3-piece set is $417.
R: Target - The Luxe Lyocell Quilt from Threshold™ in khaki is a comparable option. The king quilt is $99, and the king shams are $25 each. The total price for the 3 pieces is $149.

L: Pottery Barn - The Waffle Weave Cotton Shower Curtain is 72"x72" and priced at $79.
R: Target - The 72"x72" Waffle Weave Shower Curtain by Threshold™ is priced at $25.

Outdoor
L: Pottery Barn - The size small Caleb Handcrafted Metal Outdoor Lantern is $99, and the dimensions are 6"w x 6"d x 21.5"h (not including handle).
R: Target - The Cast Aluminum Outdoor Lantern Candle Holder by Threshold™ has overall dimensions, which include the handle, of 7.7"w x 7.7"d x 22.5"w. It is priced at $80.
