Inspiration Boards
I really enjoy using graphic design software to create social media posts. Often, these designs will be a result of shopping for categories of home decor or as a way to piece together design elements in an attempt to create a look for a specific space. This page is dedicated to those posts and to what I hope will result in design inspiration for you.

I love antiques, especially unique pieces with ornate details. Decorating with vintage pieces fills a home with charm and mixing them with a traditional or modern scheme gives character to a room. I enjoy visiting antique malls or flea markets for unique finds. Sometimes I'll see an item that inspires me but isn't quite the best fit for my space, so I'll shop for a new, similar item with a vintage flair. Here are a few lovely decor items from Amazon that offer vintage vibes.

While blue is generally considered a relatively cool color, mixing warmer colors with shades of deep blue such as navy or dark slate blue can still achieve a warm, cozy setting in your space just in time for the autumn months. Besides that, I never miss an opportunity to decorate with my favorite color, blue.

For quite some time, cool grays were the number one color of choice when it came to home design, but shades of brown are now a current color trend. It's a neutral color that pairs well with other neutrals but can also be mixed with different color families. It can be used in any room of your home and will complement any design style, making it very versatile. Personally, I am loving this warm color trend.

When accessorizing my home, I often get in a slump about what pieces to place together to create a nice, cohesive display. I'm notorious for over-buying what I consider typical accessories such as vases and photo frames, then I have nothing to style with them. This is where decorative containers come in handy. They are great for layering, and if they are functioning containers then they offer extra storage, making them very versatile.

Typically, when I think of fall colors, shades of orange come to mind. But autumn hues consist of many other colors besides oranges. If you like the idea of freshening up a space for the season, but don't care for orange-y decor, try bringing in some dark green tones such as olive. With the help of Amazon and Target, I've changed up the bathroom refresh a bit to show that you can still achieve a seasonal look even without a traditional orange palette.

For this board I envisioned a sitting area in a bedroom, a small reading nook in a larger room, or it could be implemented in an already established living room design. The mix of the traditional style of the accent chair with the mid-century modern lines of the cabinet leans toward a transitional design style. Sticking true to my roots, it never seems to fail that I gravitate toward blue design elements.
