All About TMM - The Mystical Mind

What is TMM?

This little corner of cyberspace is a personal blog and home design inspiration website. It was created as an outlet for all things design related, while throwing in little facets of life here and there. The goal of TMM is to provide content that inspires you to implement some of the shared design elements in your home.

Because a large portion of one's life is spent in their home, its interior and exterior design is intertwined with our everyday existence. Feeling good about our home can lead to feeling good about ourselves.

Who is TMM?

TMM is also me - Tracey M. Mulder, the self-proclaimed dorky gal behind the blog, sharing design ideas and discussing a little about life. I have been married to my loving husband since 2001, and we have two amazing kiddos. Although I would love to be, I am not an interior designer, but I am an everyday homeowner with a love of interior design.

As a wife and mother of two, my primary focus for the past 20+ years has been a busy family life. Now that my children are entering adulthood, I have more time to transfer some of my energy to areas that interest me. There's also something about the turning the big 5-0 that sends you on a path of self-reflection. Hence, a mission began to discover the things that ignite a spark in my soul.

First and foremost, spending time with my family tops the list, and I enjoy documenting our experiences. I love my dog, the ocean, walks in nature, unique architecture, and all things home improvement and design related. With these things in mind, a little extra time on my hands, and adjusting to life as a 50-something, the soul-searching quest continued.

One thing that I find myself doing on a regular basis is shopping online for home design items. I also enjoy perusing interior design websites and reading about design trends. These pastimes got me thinking - since I'm shopping these websites anyway, why not share items and dabble in affiliate marketing? I've often considered starting a blog to document life experiences, and with a newfound interest in writing, I decided there's no time like the present. And with that, The Mystical Mind blog was born.

It took some time to get here, and I've learned a lot along the way - not only about affiliate marketing and technology, but also about myself. It's been an enjoyable process, and I look forward to what's to come.
